Bev and I were thankful for scheduling a second option on Bev’s breast/bone cancer at MD Anderson. The oncologist has specialized in breast cancer for years and has assembled a very capable team around her. She was caring and took a great deal of time in explaining Bev’s cancer and gave us some very help suggestions.
Bottom line: The doctor confirmed that the medication Bev has been taking is not working, and she agreed with the choice of the new medication. In many patients, the new medication has more serious side effects. Bev started it three days ago, and thankfully, so far the Lord has been kind to spare her from bad side effects.
We remain totally trusting in the Lord’s absolute ability to heal, and in His great love for Bev. Thank you for praying for her!
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year to reflect on God’s goodness. We have so much to be thankful for:
• Knowing Jesus Christ personally and realizing that we will be in heaven forever with Him and all those who know Christ as their savior.
• Precious relationships with our family and so many friends
• The opportunity to serve God’s people through Compass. By the way, the Lord has brought us key leaders in five additional countries in just the past two weeks. By God’s grace, Compass is now serving in 45 countries.
• The blessings of living in an era of technology that enables us to communicate with you.
It’s my prayer that this Thanksgiving would be a very special one for you and your loved ones.
Warmly in Christ,
